A small thought of mine today, but worth considering.
If people would spend less time worrying about trying not to fail at any cost, and more time trying to ensure they learn from their failures when it inevitably happens the world would be a slightly better place.
This kind of mentality can easily be summed up metaphorically as trying be like a phoenix.
People tend to treat failure like death, something to fear be avoided at all costs, but if one can learn something from their mistakes then they rise from the ashes of their failures like a phoenix wreathed in the flame of their wisdom gained from it. Thus mirroring the cycle of life and rebirth seen everyday in the world.
Given the choice between never failing and gaining wisdom from failing I would rather learn from my mistakes, which is to say, I would chose to walk the path of the phoenix.
